Of all the inventions that have been made in the history of the world, the sewing machine is definitely one of the most useful. Before the creation of the sewing machine, in order to make garments you had to sew by hand.
While this is fine several hundred years ago we did not have such a fashion industry, nowadays it would simply be impossible to create all the nice clothes we expect if we did not have a machine to do the work.
What is really amazing is that the price of an excellent sewing machine is so low. Compared to how difficult it was to create garments in the past, some of the best sewing machines available today have hundreds of different stitches available. There really is no limit to the amount of work you can do with them. For that reason, and all the time that it saves, we believe the sewing machine is an excellent invention.
